Posting on Sword-art has a few rules.
1. No sex, Pg-13 actions such are kissing are acceptable. You may fade to black. Anything beyond this will result in a immediate ban.
2. No gore, This isn't exactly difficult in Sword art online.
3. Refane from using derogatory terms, Otherwise cussing is acceptable.
How are my threads rewarded?
Every full page (20 posts) will result in a skill point. (1 Sp) as well as 200 Col. the average word count must be at least 100 per post. (Totaling 2000 per page.)
Please keep track of your current word count like so
((Wc: 100 // 100))
The first number value represents the words in that post. The second is the total word count of all your posts. This makes reviewing threads much eaiser for the mods.
The amount of col seems low can l earn it another way?
Yes defeating monsters will generate Col as determined by staff.
How does combat work?
Unlike many combat systems, we want a roll based system. This creates a way to ensure that combat is always interesting, and not always predetermined an easy victory. It makes it more fun for the player, the readers, and so for player vs player.
There is also a level cap on item drops/xp
If you are six or more levels above a mob you receive no rewards. (Ex. Level 7 level 1. Please note This is to stop potential abuse.)
This level cap does not affect your whole party. Feel free to help a low level friend. They will still receive rewards.
When in combat simply add you roll to the bottom of the post (Dice located at the top of page where you can edit the posts color add emotes ect.). Along with your combat modifiers these are
-Your hit modifier.
-Maximum possible damage.
Then roll for the target's defense
-Important note-
Dice rolls can be tracked. Attempting to cheat and change rolls will result in a warning, Or potential ban.
Your actions always happen first. Followed by your target's. (with the exception of event threads and PVP. Which is determined by a initiative roll.)
Aggro determines who the NPC will target.
There are several ways to gain aggro they are as follows.
-Attacking (Hit.) generates two aggro.
-Attacking (Miss.) Generates one aggro.
-Healing Generates two aggro.
-Sword art. Generates four aggro.
Aggro is only required in event threads, If you wish to use it in your player ran thread simply add the template below.
[Aggro]
Jimmy-4
Sara-6
Billy -7 - target
Events are different in a few ways.
1) Staff may insert mobs at any time.
2) All rolls are made by a staff member.
Dungeon Searching, if the dungeon hasn't been found yet, then a thread may be started in the dungeon thread searching for it. Every while a staff member will make a roll in the thread to determine if the dungeon has been found. The roll is based on the amount of time since the most recent defeat, after a set amount of time the roll required to find it will be lowered.
(Note: Lowered roll only counts for active threads.)
Finding the dungeon boss.
Any active thread in the dungeon has a chance of finding the boss. Good luck!
